Yes, that IS the title and the food adventure we went on this morning. Complete with Bear DRINKING the syrup out of his dipping bowl. Guess that bowl wasn't such a hot idea.
This is Blade:
I also made a Heatwave Rescue Bot pancake. David said it was good, even though there was a little crack in his leg.
This is the first time I've made them special pancakes. No initials. No hearts. They wanted Rescue Bots. And thought they were just good enough. Ah well.

Southern Twist
I love food. I would be happy to have a feast of one kind or another every day. The famine part of this blog comes about when I decide to eat ice cream for lunch or my kids' sandwich crusts with a glob of peanut butter smeared along the edge. So, maybe that's not at all what famine looks like. Hey, this blog is not going to be about the deeper meaning of life. Check out The Locust Tree blog I've created for my esoteric side. I'll just say that food is so wonderful, it would be best to take the time to make it wonderful for every meal.
Here's a delightful southern dip introduced to me by a good friend. Yummy zip and perfectly cheesy:
It's called Southern Pimento Cheese, and you can find the recipe on Allrecipes.com I didn't add the jalapeno, but I followed everything else except being heavy handed with the cheese, and seasoning. It's great on a cracker or topping a burger, sandwich...you name it! Spread it ON.

Curry
If I don't post pictures, will you believe that I made Indian food for a friend yesterday? Her husband is recovering from knee surgery, and she is at the end of treatments that she began over a year ago for breast cancer. I love Indian food, and I LOVE sharing it with those who care about intense flavor. When it's coming through the pores, it's REAL food. Also, most ethnic foods are very economical. La la la la la. I'm singing my happy yummy food song.

The Smoothie
If I were to drink this whole-lotta-nutrition every morning, my soul would leap out of my body, right?
